Scott Key

Chairman

Scott Key is the chairman of the P2 Board of Directors. Through 2015, Mr. Key served as the President and CEO of IHS Inc., as well as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer from 2010, while also serving on the IHS board. Mr. Key served on the IHS Executive team since 2006, enabling a successful IPO as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Planning and was instrumental in growing IHS from just over $200 million in annual revenues to more than $2 billion in 2015.

Mr. Key currently holds a Board and Audit Committee position for Harte Hanks, serves as Vice Chairman of Outward Bound USA and is an Operating Partner at Advent International.

Prior to joining IHS, Mr. Key served in a number of E&P operational, management and research positions, including US and international based roles for Phillips Petroleum and ARCO. Mr. Key has a long history of successful and safe onshore/offshore oil and gas exploration and development in a range of North American, international and Deep Water environments.

Mr. Key holds a degree in Physics, Mathematics and Geophysics, has been married for over 30 years to his wife Christine and has two children, Sebastian and Aleksa.  

Léo Apotheker

Former CEO, SAP

Léo Apotheker is the former CEO of SAP. Promoted to co-CEO in 2008 after serving as Deputy CEO, Mr. Apotheker was instrumental in transforming the enterprise software company from a single-product business to a multi-solution provider.

SAP recruited Mr. Apotheker in 1988 to add the French and Belgian markets to the Walldorf, Germany-based organization’s footprint. He left SAP for a brief period but returned in 1995, rapidly rising through the company’s ranks.

After a 22-year run at SAP, Mr. Apotheker was appointed as HP’s President and CEO. He currently is the chairman of KMD AS, Vice-chairman and Lead Director of the board of Schneider Electric, Vice-chairman of the board of Unit4, and serves on the board of NICE Systems.

Mr. Apotheker holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In 2007 he was awarded the French Légion d’honneur, France’s highest decoration, for his leadership in business and his contributions to the French economy. Fluent in five languages – English, French, German, Dutch, and Hebrew – Mr. Apotheker and his wife Liliane have two children, Mathieu and Jessica.

Mark Bouzek

Former Vice President & Chief Information Officer, BP

Mark Bouzek is an accomplished global energy IT and business leader with a track record of significantly improving business performance, implementing innovative technologies, and integrating and globalizing organizations. He is a change agent who possesses a wide range of strategic, operational and cybersecurity experiences, including leading several $500+ million global business units at Shell and BP, starting two internet businesses, and serving on multiple for-profit Boards. 

Mark’s most recent role was at BP, where he served as VP and Chief Information Officer. He developed and implemented a global E&P IT strategy, governance structure, and operating model across 15+ previously fragmented and diverse regions. He also transformed the BP Center for High Performance Computing into the world’s fastest commercial research computing center. Concurrently, he led one of the world’s largest IT crisis responses during the BP Macondo Oil Spill.

In addition to his enterprise-level experiences, Mark was instrumental in creating two internet-based businesses: Quaris, an Accenture-funded startup that pioneered oil and gas equipment auctioning; and OneOffshore, a private-equity backed energy information company that developed the industry’s first drilling rig sub-leasing marketplace.  

Mark graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University with a BS in Quantitative Management Science with a specialization in Computer Science. He also attended the INSEAD Advanced Executive Education Program in Fontainebleau, France. He is currently chairing the Board of Advisors for Belmont Technologies, a Houston-based internet startup, and is an Executive-in-Residence at the University of Colorado. 

Jack Schanck

Former CEO, Sonde Resources Corp.

Jack Schanck has nearly 40 years of experience in the energy industry, where he has held leadership positions in both public and private companies.

He retired from Sonde Resources Corporation in Calgary, Alberta, where he served as President and CEO from 2010 to 2013. Sonde is an energy company engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas with operations in Western Canada and offshore North Africa.

Mr. Schanck spent the first 21 years of his career, 1978 to 1999, with Unocal Corporation and its subsidiaries. During this time, he helped lead Unocal’s exploration activities in both the U.S. and international regions, holding the positions of Group Vice President, Oil & Gas Operations from 1994 to 1996, and President of Spirit Energy 76 from 1997 to 1999.

Following his career with Unocal, Mr. Schanck was Co-Chief Executive Officer for Samson Investment Company from 1999-2005, and Managing Partner of Tecton Energy, LLC from 2006-2009.

Mr. Schank holds an M.S. in Geology from the University of Memphis and a B.S. in Geology from Allegheny College. He serves on the boards of Penn West Petroleum Ltd., Newfield Exploration, Saulsbury Industries, and Sonde Resources Corporation. 

Eric Wei

Principal, Advent International

Eric Wei is a Principal at private equity firm Advent International, where his primary focus is on growth equity and buyouts of companies in the technology and media sectors.

Prior to joining Advent in 2011, Mr. Wei was a Principal at Sageview Capital, a Vice President of Bain Capital, and an Associate at Evercore Partners. Mr. Wei began his career as a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company.

Mr. Wei graduated with distinction from Stanford University and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Lauren Young

Managing Director, Advent International

Lauren Young joined Advent International in 2011, focusing on investments in the technology, media, and telecom sectors.

Prior to joining Advent, Ms. Young worked at The Carlyle Group, where she was a member of the U.S. buyout fund. At Carlyle, she focused on investing in software and financial technology companies. Previously, she was an analyst at McColl Partners, a middle-market investment banking firm.

Ms. Young received a BA from Davidson College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

J. Scott Lockhart

Chief Executive Officer

Scott Lockhart is an accomplished technology leader with a track record growing businesses that provide integrated solutions for capital-intensive industries.  As CEO, he drives P2’s commitment to help upstream oil and gas companies around the globe optimize business performance. 

Scott has leadership experience in both public and private companies, holding executive level positions at IHS, ESS (now part of Sphera), Rolls Royce, Data Systems & Solutions, and SAIC.  In each role, he had overarching responsibility for strategy and implementation. 

Before joining P2, he served as Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence and Risk Management at IHS.  At IHS, Scott led the acquisition of eight competitor companies and brought them together into a single, high-performance team that became the largest provider in the space. 

He is a recognized thought leader and energy sector domain expert with more than 20 years of experience in the software industry. An instinctive team player, Scott believes in building businesses where everyone deserves equal dignity and respect.

Scott holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas where he graduated with distinction. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family.  He has an active passion for team sports which he shares with his three boys, aged 14, 16, and 19.
