Strategic Maps vs Tactical Maps in Oil and Gas
You may have heard the story about a crew cutting a road through a forest. The various teams on the crew were extremely efficient at their jobs; the saw sharpeners, the tree cutters, the log haulers, the road graders, everyone knew their job and performed their respective duties very well. The tactics were good. The only problem was strategic. They were off course heading through the forest.
