Tobin's Digital Ownership data, representing a snapshot in time, is created to provide the detail necessary to position lease outlines.

Historically, digital ownership data has been created from the Tobin Ownership 1"=3000' hard copy maps. Since 2002, all digital ownership counties have been created from the legal instruments and maps attained from various appraisal districts. In some cases, this information is supplemented with title research, DOQQs and school district information.

All ownership boundaries are mapped to the Tobin SuperBase Landgrid and Survey Data. Ownership data is available for Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Mississippi, Utah and Wyoming.

Polygons allow users to calculate totals, volume, acreage, and distance geographically with Tobin data sets. The above data sets are topological, ensuring accurate analysis across all data sets. These data sets are compiled with double precision, so they can be used with all hardware platforms and operating systems.
Users can perform analysis geographically combined with the attributes included in the data sets.
Each polygon in the data set has an annotation point. The annotation point provides an anchor to display the attributes of the data sets on hard copy media.

Data sets meet or exceed national mapping standards. They are 1:24K map scales. This is +/- 40 feet absolute accuracy on the ground.
