Drilling activity in the Eagle Ford Shale counties is reflected in this year over year comparison of well permits and wells completed. While activity remains below the levels reported in the Barnett and Haynesville, the trend remains similar: there are fewer completions, while permits are going up, with a sharp rise in January of this year.
