Barnett Shale Lease Activity, April 2010




Tobin Map Data's Tobin Trends

Lease activity in the Barnett Shale was down almost across the entire shale play in April of this year, according to P2 Energy Solutions' Tobin Map Data.

Tarrant County, where leasing activity has been the highest, saw the number of leases filed for mineral rights in April fall almost in half over data from March.

Comparing Month to Month


Denton County, one of the more active areas in the Barnett, saw a 90% drop in new filings for mineral rights in April.
