P2 Energy Solutions Improves Operations, Services and Customer Support with Management Appointments

Thurston to lead Operations

DENVER, June 4, 2010 – P2 Energy Solutions announced key executive appointments as it continues to position its organization for growth in the industry. Eric Thurston has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations, Chris Lenig has been named Vice President of Global Professional Services, and Bruce MacDonald has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Customer Support and Hosting Services.

Thurston will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management and performance of Global Professional Services, Data and the Outsourcing business units at P2 Energy Solutions.

Lenig’s past experience in the consulting field makes him uniquely qualified to undertake the leadership of P2’s Global Professional Services area, helping to build the services business for the company.

MacDonald has demonstrated tremendous value in bringing together P2’s Global Customer Support organization and ensuring that hosting and customer support provide world class standards.

Thurston is a 20-year veteran of the software and oil industries bringing a breadth of experience to this new role.

Thurston has successfully provided sales, marketing and executive leadership at a number of high-tech companies including SAP, Oracle and JD Edwards. Prior to joining P2, Thurston led the North America Oil & Gas practice at SAP crafting successful sales and operational strategies that led to dramatic increases in license revenue and client base extension. Prior to that role, he held several strategic roles at Oracle Corporation and also worked for Shell Oil as an engineer. Thurston earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Lenig joined P2 Energy Solutions in 2009 as Vice President, Corporate Development where he has provided leadership to many key projects and initiatives for the company. Prior to joining P2 Energy Solutions, Chris served in various leadership, business development and consulting roles with Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting and SourceNet Solutions. Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.

MacDonald has more than 25 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry with major focus on sales, consulting, client services, corporate development, IT management and hosting services. He previously served as vice president of P2 Energy Solutions Alberta (formerly Qbyte).MacDonald earned a bachelor’s of commerce degree, with a major in accounting from the University of Calgary and a professional accounting designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.
