P2 Energy Solutions Appoints Eric Thurston Vice President of Sales Operations

Oil and gas information technology leader adds key role to sales and marketing group

HOUSTON (April 27, 2009) -- P2 Energy Solutions, the leading provider of business software, map data and enterprise services to the oil and gas industry, announces the appointment of Eric Thurston to the newly created position of Vice President Sales Operations. In this position, Thurston will work to further grow P2 Energy Solutions’ market share in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry through innovative go-to-market strategies aligning P2’s broad product suite to the constantly evolving E&P marketplace.

Thurston comes to P2 Energy Solutions with 20 years of experience in the oil and gas, chemical and mining and technology industries. He was most recently employed with SAP Americas as its senior director of oil and gas, crafting successful sales and marketing strategies that led to dramatic increases in license revenues. Prior to that Thurston held several strategic roles at Oracle Corporation and also worked for Shell Oil Co. as an engineer right out of college.

Thurston earned at master of business administration degree from the University of Utah and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
