Another Win for Tobin Enterprise Land

P2 Energy Solutions, the leading provider of business software, map data and enterprise services to the oil and gas industry, announces one of Canada’s largest integrated energy and energy-related companies has selected Tobin software and map data to map and manage land assets.

The Canadian energy company, which has upstream, midstream and downstream segments operating in Western Canada, offshore of Canada’s East Coast, the United States, China, Indonesia and Greenland, will use Tobin Enterprise Land™ (TEL) with Tobin GIS Studio (TGS) integration. With nearly $21 billion in assets, the company will use TEL and TGS to manage newly acquired leases in the United States.

TEL was built to save companies money through streamlining land management processes and providing higher levels of data integrity, accuracy and accessibility. From acquiring leases to maintaining producing properties, TEL handles the entire land asset management process using a familiar, browser-based interface.

TEL, using integration with Tobin GIS Studio, brings lease information to the map in real time. When used together, these systems easily create textual and spatial map displays. TGS displays the information dynamically from information stored in TEL.

Land department managers with the Canadian company were most impressed with the query capability of TEL and the ability to conduct mass updates. Managers also were impressed with the embedded mapping in TEL using TGS, and foresee the applications increasing their productivity.

In addition, the company has purchased a Western US map data subscription through Tobin All Access. Tobin All Access is fully compatible with TEL and TGS and provides unlimited access to Tobin SuperBase™, the industry-accepted standard in conforming map data layers for upstream oil and gas.
