Terra-Gen Taps P2 for Alternative Energy Land Management Software
Tobin Enterprise Land&trade Software to Manage Sustainable Power Land Assets
DENVER, February 9, 2010 – P2 Energy Solutions has signed a new software contract with Terra-Gen Power to manage all requirements associated with land assets for the firm’s wind, solar, and geothermal energy installations. Terra-Gen Power is headquartered in New York and operates alternative energy facilities that generate 842 megawatts of electricity.

Tobin Enterprise Land&trade (TEL) software, from P2, will enable Terra-Gen to consolidate all land assets into a single registry. TEL will enhance alignment of business workflows to better manage terms, right-of-ways, royalty payments, usage rights, and access privileges for the numerous landowners and landowner interests involved in each installation. The agreement expands P2 Energy Solutions’ presence in alternative energy and builds on the firm’s success in designing software that improves land management and accelerates decision-making.
"This arrangement with Terra-Gen Power is a significant step forward in adding sustainable energy solutions to our software portfolio," said Bret Bolin, President and CEO of P2 Energy Solutions. "TEL will support Terra-Gen Power’s growth initiatives by providing a scalable system to track virtually any energy land asset including wind, solar geothermal, hydro, coal, and oil and gas, in a single system."
For more than 30 years P2 software has evolved to meet growing requirements in the complex energy industry. Through continuous improvement, driven by client collaboration, P2 Energy Solutions delivers land management software and other technology tools that adapt to changing industry trends.
"Terra-Gen is pleased to add Tobin Enterprise Land software as a management tool for our rapidly growing land and lease portfolio," said Vince Signorotti, Terra-Gen’s Vice President, Land Management. "We are excited to have proven energy-based software available to manage our real estate assets across three renewable technologies."
The U.S. Department of Energy Information Administration projects that U.S. consumption of alternative energy* will increase by 52 percent, from 5.84 to 8.9 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu) over the next 10 years.
