Enterprise Upstream Summarized Business Views (SBVs) is a unified reporting strategy for upstream clients. SBV allows clients to create a reporting infrastructure from different Oracle data sources, acting as a one-stop-shop for all management and operational reporting.
The purpose of SBV Administration Manager is to provide a graphical user interface wrapped around a robust framework used for performing the following summary business view related functions:
Create SBV Objects
Create first layer snapshots or synonyms, summary business views, indexes and PL/SQL objects
- SBVs delivered and supported by Enterprise Upstream development
- Ability to create and maintain in-house SBV objects
Refresh SBV Objects
Perform data refresh for the first layer snapshots and summary business views
- Replication frequency controlled by administrator
- Forced or scheduled
- Robust log files to assist in debugging
Change Management
Apply changes to summary business views. The change management function allows users to complete the following tasks:
- Incorporate OLTP DDL changes
- Modify summary business views
- Create ad-hoc summary business views
