J. Scott Lockhart
Chief Executive Officer
Scott Lockhart is an accomplished technology leader with a track record growing businesses that provide integrated solutions for capital-intensive industries. As CEO, he drives P2’s commitment to help upstream oil and gas companies around the globe optimize business performance.
Scott has leadership experience in both public and private companies, holding executive level positions at IHS, ESS (now part of Sphera), Rolls Royce, Data Systems & Solutions, and SAIC. In each role, he had overarching responsibility for strategy and implementation.
Before joining P2, he served as Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence and Risk Management at IHS. At IHS, Scott led the acquisition of eight competitor companies and brought them together into a single, high-performance team that became the largest provider in the space.
He is a recognized thought leader and energy sector domain expert with more than 20 years of experience in the software industry. An instinctive team player, Scott believes in building businesses where everyone deserves equal dignity and respect.
Scott holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas where he graduated with distinction. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family. He has an active passion for team sports which he shares with his three boys, aged 14, 16, and 19.
Chief Financial Officer
Derrick joined P2 in July 2016 as the company's Chief Financial Officer.
A Southern California native, Derrick has spent the majority of his career in the Denver area and has held a variety of senior finance and accounting roles at some of the largest public companies in Colorado. Immediately prior to joining P2, Derrick was Vice President of Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Arrow Electronics, where he spearheaded more than 20 acquisitions in his four years as the Fortune 500 company's M&A leader.
When he's not in the office, chances are you'll find Derrick spending time with his family, snowboarding, skiing, hiking, diving (he and his son are certified divers) or sampling one of Denver's many breweries.
Derrick is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton.
Fredrick "Fritz" Smith
Chief Revenue Officer
Fritz Smith is a seasoned technology sales and marketing executive who has led global teams for most of his career. Joining P2 as CRO, Fritz will oversee the global Sales and Marketing teams, and position P2 for worldwide growth through acquisition and retention of P2’s customer portfolio.
Prior to P2, Fritz served as Senior Vice President, Global Sales – Technology, Media and Telecom at IHS Markit where he led the global sales organization in the delivery of Bill of Materials/Market Intelligence and Network Analytics solutions to a diverse customer base. Fritz held several Executive Sales leadership roles across IHS Markit where he was responsible for providing sales leadership and revenue reporting across the globe. In each role, he had increasing responsibility for sales performance and worldwide growth. In addition, Fritz held global assignments focusing on the energy sector.
Fritz is a recognized sales leader with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry and is an entrepreneur at heart. He founded Top-Line Performance to address organization’s need to understand how and why top revenue-producing companies perform in a manner that delivers optimum value to business owners, investors and shareholders. Here, he assisted in raising over $50M for early stage companies in addition to building global go-to-market sales strategies.
Fritz is married with 2 children. Outside of work, he enjoys music, golf, boating and local non-profits focused on kids and the arts.
Fritz holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from State University College of New York at Buffalo.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Shelley Pettet is a seasoned human resource executive who has led global HR teams for most of her career. As CHRO for P2, Shelley will be responsible for developing and executing the human resource strategy in support of P2’s overall business priorities, as well as the implementation and execution of all people-related strategies and programs.
Prior to joining P2, Shelley was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for IHS Markit, where she was responsible for providing HR strategic support for their many diversified business lines. She also provided HR leadership for Global Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and was the HR implementation leader during the IHS Markit merger. Additionally, Shelley was a Human Resource leader in several financial service firms, such as Lehman Brothers and American Express.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys skiing, bicycling, and escaping to the mountains with her husband and three children.
Shelley graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland.
Senior Vice President, America Sales
Mary Lyke is an experienced sales leader, skilled in Enterprise Software, Sales, Customer Relationship Management, and Strategic Partnerships. As the Senior Vice President of America Sales, Mary’s focus is on strategic planning, sales execution, and presales support for the Americas.
Since 2013, Mary has provided sales team leadership, industry expertise, and exceptional customer service at P2 as a Regional Sales Manager, a Director of US Strategic Large Sales, and as the Vice President of Account Management.
Prior to P2, Mary served as the Regional Account Manager for SunGard Financial Systems, providing a holistic view of the receivables, treasury, and payments functions to help corporations mitigate risk and optimize liquidity. She also held a long career with Continental Airlines where she held various positions within the organization ranging from a Business Analyst to a Regional Sales Manager for the US sales team.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her three children and granddaughter, and keeping on top of her favorite sports teams – the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.
Mary graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Communication and Psychology.
Senior Vice President, Canada
Michael Danielewicz is the Senior Vice President of Canada for P2 Energy Solutions and is responsible for both the Canadian sales organization as well as being the business leader for P2 in Canada.
Michael has been working with P2 products in one form or another for over 26 years. His first experience was implementing Qbyte software as a customer at Omega Hydrocarbons Ltd. in the late 80’s. In the early 90’s, Michael gained experience with data conversions and implementation consulting at Qbyte Services Ltd., a predecessor company to P2. In 2001 Michael moved into Sales and today is still passionately promoting the products and services that P2 offers its customers.
Michael’s years of oil and gas accounting and information systems experience has equipped him with an in-depth knowledge of P2’s business, products and services, the competitive landscape, customer requirements, software implementations, system conversions, and project management. He takes a great amount of pride from the lasting personal relationships that he has built with our customers in Canada.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing hockey, skiing, and spending time at the lake with his family and friends.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Management Accountant.
Senior Vice President, APAC
Ben Farquharson is P2 Energy Solutions' Senior Vice President for the APAC region. He joined the company in November 2015.
A seasoned sales and delivery executive, Ben has spent his entire career in the technology sector. Prior to coming on board at P2, he spent nine years providing solutions to the global mining industry in various leadership roles at Dassault Systemes GEOVIA and Gemcom Australia. Early in his career, he worked for telecommunications firms Telstra and EFP-Xpedite.
After earning a Bachelor's degree from Edith Cowan University and an MBA from the University of Western Australia in Perth, Ben went to Hong Kong to play rugby and fell in love with the Asia region. He promoted technology to the financial industry in many different countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Singapore, and Australia. It didn't take long for Ben to fall in love with what he was doing, and it's been his passion ever since.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys spending time with his two kids (especially on the basketball court) and taking some time to relax at the beach.
Senior Vice President, EMEA
As P2's Senior Vice President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Steven Ferrigno is responsible for leading the company's international expansion. Steven joined P2 in March 2015 and is based in London.
Steven is a British national senior business executive with extensive experience in growing businesses across the EMEA landscape. Steven started out in the financial services industry. He has spent the last 18 years in the software space providing solutions to many market sectors and the last six years serving the energy markets.
In his spare time Steven spends a ridiculous amount of time in the saddle (road cycle) training for various UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) events around the world. He also enjoys skiing with his wife and three boys. Steven also finds relaxation in the kitchen cooking Mediterranean cuisine.
After receiving his degree in Business and Finance from the University of Delaware, Steven landed on Wall Street working in the foreign exchange markets.
Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence
Mark Kilpatrick is P2’s Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence. In his role, Mark designs and implements cross-functional business processes that keep all the various functions within P2 aligned.
Most recently Mark served as Vice President of Business Operations for Sphera Solutions, formerly the Operational Excellence and Risk Management division within IHS. Mark helped IHS divest the division in May 2016 to Genstar Capital, creating the new entity Sphera Solutions.
Mark has led the business planning, business process, forecasting, resource allocation, acquisition integration, and service delivery efforts for various software and services businesses throughout his career. Prior to joining IHS in 2009, he held senior management positions in operations for ESS and Rolls Royce, where he was focused on software delivery, professional services, and managed services.
Mark and his wife have two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, challenging his son to regular matches in tennis and ping pong, and playing different golf courses in the Houston area.
Mark graduated with a BA degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Baylor University.
Vice President, Customer Success
As P2's Vice President of Customer Success, Brandon Elam oversees the company's Professional Services, Cloud Services, and Customer Support teams, fostering the delivery of a best-in-class customer experience to all of P2's clients.
Brandon began his career as a technology consultant at Accenture, serving the energy industry by developing and implementing large scale custom software projects. During this time, Brandon served on a technology team to help start up the Texas Deregulated Electrical Market.
From there, he moved to Ventyx, an ABB company, where he started a managed services and support team to support customizations and extensions to Ventyx’s energy portfolio products. He also served as Director of Operational Excellence in order to ensure successful delivery of Ventyx products. Brandon joined P2 in November 2012.
Throughout his career, Brandon has focused on the people aspect of the energy business. If his customers received timely response, relevant information, and accurate assessments, he could help them succeed in their daily business.
When not at work, Brandon spends his time with his kids, playing music, and serving in mission work at his church.
Brandon graduated with a degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Senior Vice President, Production
As P2's Senior Vice President of Production, Chris Lenig pilots the direction, strategy, and go-to-market planning for all of the company's Production solutions, which encompass field operations, production data management, production forecasting, and operational intelligence.
Chris started his career in operations and consulting for a provider of outsourcing services. He spent nine years helping customers in a variety of industries design and build global shared services centers to create efficient back-office functions through process and technology solutions.
In 2006 Chris moved to a leader in business consulting services where his primary focus was in oil and gas, serving customers in the upstream and oilfield services sectors of the industry. In 2009 he joined P2 and worked in several roles spanning corporate development and management of P2’s global professional services organization. In mid-2012, at the request of P2’s private equity owners, Chris took an 18-month hiatus to work on integration and services operations of a newly acquired portfolio company outside of the oil and gas space.
In early 2014 Chris rejoined P2 to lead its talented professional services organization as P2 continues to improve and expand its offerings into new solution areas and geographies.
Chris and his wife Kate have three young children whose growing list of extracurricular activities keep them extremely busy.
Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in History and a concentration in Business.
Senior Vice President, Product Development
Liz Nguyen is P2 Energy Solutions’ Senior Vice President of Product Development. In her role, Liz heads P2’s development group and is responsible for the development, design, quality, and delivery of all of P2’s solutions. She was P2’s Senior Director of Product Development for the Houston Center of Excellence before being promoted to her current position in November 2014.
Before coming on board at P2, Liz managed Ventyx’s Energy Portfolio Management team as a Senior Director. She got her start in the world of software as a Consultant at Deloitte, where she developed public-welfare solutions for state and federal governments.
When she’s not leading teams and developing software, Liz enjoys spending time with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Harry, and traveling. Hawaii is her go-to spot.
Liz graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Senior Vice President, Product Management
As P2 Energy Solutions’ Senior Vice President of Product Management, Erik Schneider is responsible for P2's land and accounting product portfolios. He joined the company in March 2014 as Vice President of Corporate Development.
Before coming to P2, Erik spent 11 years on Wall Street performing corporate advisory and equity research with a later focus in the healthcare industry. During his time on Wall Street, Erik worked for Goldman Sachs, Sanford C. Bernstein, UBS, and Perella Weinberg Partners.
While he enjoys hiking, skiing, and woodworking, “mostly I live for my family, wife, and three children,” Erik said. His goal of visiting all 50 states was complete in the summer of 2017 when he visited Maine with his family. They celebrated with a festive and delicious lobster boil on the beach.
Erik graduated with a degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, where he played on the Tiger football team for a year before shifting his extracurricular focus to Tae Kwon Do and eight-ball. In 2003 he earned an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Senior Vice President, Tobin Data Solutions
Tony Sperduti is P2's Senior Vice President of Tobin Data Solutions. In his role, Tony is responsible for the strategy and operations of P2's data product line. He joined the company in November 2015.
Tony has a distinct mix of energy industry experience. He has led commercial, operational, and growth-transformation efforts at an energy information firm (IHS), at energy software firms (Wellogix and SAT Corporation), and at energy service firms (Halliburton and Light Tower Rentals).
From early in his career as a market analyst, Tony realized the power of using high-quality data and analytics to develop and support complex business decisions and strategies.
In his spare time, Tony enjoys mentoring his children in music and athletics. He also enjoys traveling the world to explore new destinations, cultures, and cuisines. Tony lives in Houston with his wife and two kids.
Tony graduated with an MBA and BBA from Texas A&M University.
Special Advisor to the CEO
In her role as Special Advisor to the CEO, Samina Farid provides counsel on P2’s overall business strategy, product direction, and various projects. Samina is a co-founder of Merrick Systems, which P2 acquired in December 2014.
A leading energy and technology entrepreneur, Samina co-founded Merrick in 1989 and served as the company’s CEO, CFO, COO, and Chairman of the Board. On what inspired her and her two nephews to found Merrick, Samina commented: “Poor and outdated production data was being used in energy companies to make key decisions and in accounting and engineering. Getting good data to the right people in a timely manner was something that we felt was extremely important. So we set out on a mission.”
In 25 short years, Merrick grew from an idea to a leading provider of production management and field operations software, landing numerous awards for innovation, growth, and diversity along the way. Samina herself is the winner of the 2012 Breakthrough Woman (presented by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce), the 2012 Most Influential Woman (Houston Woman Magazine), and the 2013 Most Powerful and Influential Woman in Texas (National Diversity Council) awards.
An avid hiker, reader, and traveler, Samina graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston. She is a Harvard University Fellow in their Advanced Leadership Initiative.
